Writing Letters - Invitation

Important things to include are;

1. What type of party will it be?
2. The time and date of the party,
3. Where it will take place,
4. Whether the guests should bring anything
5. Write RSVP if you want people to tell you they will come

For example;

June 25, 2001 (date invitation is sent)

Dear Linda and Ted, (greeting)
Jane and I are having our Christmas Celebration again this year. (what kind of party) We hope you can come and join the group.
The party will be on Wednesday, December 20, from 4.00pm until 10.00pm at our house (31 Ash Grove). (when and where)
We will provide the meats to barbeque. Please bring a salad or dessert to share with others.(what to bring)
Dress casually and plan to stay late enough to see the fireworks display. (other details)
