What makes a good English student?

This is not a formal essay, but a chance to write freely. The word limit is 150 words, and you should use clear paragraphs for each main idea. I suggest an introduction, followed by two main ideas, and a conclusion.

What makes a good English student?

A good English student must be motivated, diligent and confident. If being qualified for these requirements, it is not difficult for him to learn English well.

To be motivated is the most important for  a student to learn a language. If he has an obvious goal, he will devote all his energy into studying no matter how difficult it is. The goal is clear and not very high. The different level has different goal.Once achieving the goal , he should be awarded and encouraged and to make progress quickly.

Language exists in everyday life as well as English. When eating,watching TV and doing something, a student can study everywhere and anytime. It is better for the student to have a dictionary with himself so as to look for vocabulary. For example,every goods is noted with English, many vocabulary will be remembered. Be diligent in writing,remembering and practising will help a lot to study English well. Referring to practice, the students don't be shy and should have great confidences even though many mistakes are made. The good students can learn from the errors. Once having a chance, practise ,practise and practise. So when practising, confidence is more essential.

In conclusion, high motivated and practising diligently and confidently can make a good English student.

Good attempt, nice structure. But remember not to use a male gender in your examples. Keep it neutral as much as possible.

Also, I found your main paragraph to have many small suggestions in it, ordered a little like a list.  It's often better to elaborate on a few points in detail, and exclude short examples.

What makes a good English student or, better, what makes a GOOD STUDENT (in general)?
This is a good question expecially for a teacher.

A good student needs to be motivated, appreciated for his hard work but, above all, he wants to learn having fun.
Many  lessons are so boring, teachers are dull, not competent, sad and pupils spend their lesson's time to sleep on their desks!!!

On the other hand most of them don't understand the learning's importance, students think at the school as an obligation, not as a pleasure.
They don't want to work hard, they are superficial and often they don't want any responsabilities but they have to understand that school is the first step for their future life and life is in their hands

I generalized it to all languages because I think it not only implies for English but for all the languages as well.

Students need to practice the language on a regular basis and try to climb a step at a time. Intermission will cause them to go down two steps therefore it is very crucial for them to keep practicing the language.

Students need to practice all the aspects of a language i.e. reading, listening, speaking, and writing for an overall knowledge of it. A good student should try to master these aspects in order to be proficient.

It's great that you attempted this essay, I hope you are noticing some improvement in your writing. I would advise you though not to begin each new idea in an essay with the same clause (A good student...), mix them up a bit to make it interesting and varied.

Therefore, work hard and study English regularly are important factors that make student successful in study English.  A good student should motivate himself or herself to study English until reaching the end of the goal.
