Unbelievable as it sounds but perfectly true, my laptop stopped working on Monday. I took it to get it repaired, brought it home, and it was still broken. Today I took it again and now it works. So, the topic for today is;

What are the disadvantages of new technology

Making a process take lesser time to complete and a production line less labour intensive, both in terms of effort and number, appears  to be the only advantage of new technology. The rest of it can be described under the heading disadvantages.

The disadvantage of new technology I discovered and the frightening experiance I had was with calculator. It happend one day while I was having an accounting  discussion with a client on the phone. Everything was going fine and I was answering them with ease until matters involving figures. Having not found a calculator nearby, I resorted to do the addition and subtraction in my head and uttered the results straingt onto the mouthpiece. When I realized the doubt of my client which my client conveyed in his repeating the figure I privided, I quickly jotted them down on a piece of paper to check for its correctness. To my surprise, my mind was completely blank and could not do anything with the figures. After a few seconds, I aplogized to my client and offered to resume the discussion at a later time. There and then, I realised the disadvantage of new technology: Heavy reliance on the calculator has reduced me to someone minus a brain.

I prefer letters to Emails.

Because I can see the words which was wrote by oneself. Moreover I can enjoy envelope and stamp which was selected by oneself. Email is easyer and faster to send. However it is too convenient. If I invite my friend to special party like a wedding or greeting for new year, I am sure to send a letter. I will think a lot about what should I write. It makes me polite and avoid to say something rude. Email doesn't remain in my hand. I would like to remember these party or my friends with letters. So, the convenience is disadvantage.

Computers sometime don't work and the data could be lost. Uncertainty of Email is another disadvantage. 


I prefer letters to emails, because I can see the words which were written by myself. Moreover, I can enjoy selecting the envelopes and stamps which was selected by oneself. Emails are easier and faster to send, although they are actually too convenient. If I invite my friend to a special party like a wedding or greeting for the new year, I am sure to send a letter. I will think a lot about what should I write, and I try hard to be polite and avoid to say something rude. Emails can't be kept doesn't remain in my hand, so I prefer to remember an event or my friends with a letter. Therefore, the convenience is disadvantage.

Since computers sometimes break and the data is lost, emails are also unreliable.

What are the disadvantages of new technology

Nowadays new technology such as computer, internet and mobile phone close with our life all time. It seems very useful and makes our life convenient but in the same time there are some of disadvantages too.

Firstly, we like a slave of new technology.  Many people think that mobile phones are important thing of their life.  They carry mobile phones everywhere so probably they will be called all time even they are driving cars or the holiday times. 

Secondly, new technology is tool to do criminal.  Some people lost money because they believed over advertisements or some e-mail from internet.  The serious crime is some victims were killed from people who they knew from internet. 

Therefore, we should realize both of the disadvantages and the advantages of new technology.  The update technology should be used suitable for life style of each person.

Nowadays new technology such as computers, the internet and mobile phones are all around us. It seems very useful and makes our life convenient but at the same time there are some of disadvantages too.

Firstly, we can become a slave to new technology.  Many people think that mobile phones are the most important thing in their lives.  They carry mobile phones them everywhere and will probably they will be called all time, even they are driving cars or on holiday times. 

Secondly, new technology is a tool which can be used to commit crimes.  Some people lost money because they believed fake over advertisements or some  e-mails from the internet.  Serious crimes like murder can happen when is some victims were killed from people who they met on the internet. 

Therefore, we should pay attention to both of the disadvantages and the advantages of new technology.  The update technology should be used suitable for life style of each person.
