I'll write a new word everyday in this new topic for a week.

Todays word:

Compel=Force somebody to do something

My daughter is a fussy eater so everyday I have to compel her to eat something. (Luke, I'm not sure whether or not this is a right sentence)

trivialities = Something of small importance

We should not waist our time in trivialities, I learned this lesson from our teacher Luke.

Oh, Thanks Luke...sometime I make so silly mistakes. Embarrassed

Todays word:

invigorating = Imparting strength and vitality

I have been feeling very lethargic lately and decide to I ran for a mile. I really felt better, it is invigorating.

I love the word invigorating. Its the feeling I get when I drink cola after doing exercise, or jump into a cold swimming pool. And lethargic is also a great word too, well done.

NB.

Luke, Thanks for the correction.

Today's word: Speculation=A message expressing an opinion based on incomplete evidence

Although, I want the presidential candidate John McCain to win but according to my speculation the candidate from the left will win because of the biased media, which is hell-bent on promoting him.

Hi Learneng,

This works okay, but in my normal style I wouldn't associate it with a single person. I would use it in a way that suggested many people, without saying who they were. (According to speculation, ...)

Although, I want the presidential candidate John McCain to win, but according to my speculation the left-wing / democrat candidate from the left will win because of the biased media which is hell-bent on promoting him.
