Today's word is vitriolic:

vitriolic=Harsh or corrosive in tone......synonym--acerbic

We should try to avoid vitriolic words. (I know this is not a great sentence but I couldn't come up with a better one) Luke, will you please give us a couple of examples?

Thanks,
Learneng

It's a pretty rare and unusual word, and I wouldn't actually use it for fear of being misunderstood.But if you really wanted to learn it, put in in sentences related to the tone of someone's voice (the queen had a vivitriolic tone when she addressed the public).
