Today I learned a new saying.

A Blessing In Disguise = Something good that isn't recognized at first

I tried for a sentence using this saying but couldn't come up with anything. Luke might help us...

To have to change a flat tyre in a pouring condition is not really the sort of day anyone would like to have, but in my case it was a blessing in disguise. Two 100 dollar notes drifted past me while I was jacking up the car.

An extremely good example Benleon, and nice use of English too. Very native sounding.

Here is another one: "teamwork makes the dream work"

In my hands-on cooking class I always tell my student that “teamwork makes the dream work”, when we clean the kitchen in end of the class. We clean the whole kitchen in minutes and I really can't imagine doing all that by myself.

The rhyming sound is nice, although I've never heard it before. I'll remember it for sure.

Luke,

After my ESL class I realized that I need to take care of Parallelism in my sentence. I'm trying to correct my above sentence. Please let me know if it's correct now. Thanks, Learneng

During the cleaning of the kitchen in my hands-on cooking class, I tell my student that “teamwork makes the dream work”. We clean the whole kitchen in minutes and I really can't imagine doing all that by myself.

Parallelisms work best with lists of information (by the people, of the people, for the people). It's just a question of getting the forms of the words to match, and then choppping out redundant words.

So, the bold parts are your parallel sections. They are in the same structure, so they are parallel.

During the cleaning of the kitchen in my 'hands-on' cooking class, I tell my students that “teamwork makes (the) dream work”. We clean the whole kitchen in minutes and I really can't imagine doing all that by myself.

You will find it works better when they are shorter, and as a result, closer to each other.

I teach my students that “teamwork makes dream work” when we clean the kitchen in my 'hands-on' cooking class. The kitchen is spotless in only minutes by working together, helping each other, and being diligent.
