Hi Learneng,

To get cold feet is an idiom (not slang), and means to have second thoughts about something (from positive to negative).

The most frequent example is to get cold feet on the night before your wedding, which means to change your mind and try to find an excuse not to marry.

A. Are you still going to give a speech?
B. No, I'm a bit too nervous
A. Sounds like you've got cold feet
