Conjunctions are useful in putting nouns, verbs, adjectives, adverbs, and clauses together when making sentences. There are seven coordinating conjunctions: and, but, or, nor, for, yet, so.
Hi All,
In this thread we will be writing a sentence using any of the above conjunctions.
Learneng -------------------------------------------------- My first sentence:
My daughter eats neither meat nor sea food, she prefers vegetables.

Conjunctions work when you try to connect two parts of a sentence together to make a longer and more complex clause. My son hasn't arrived yet is a single clause without a conjunction. Try, my son hasn't arrived yet so we'll wait a little longerTry another

That's a perfectly fine sentence Learneng. You could also write;
We were planning to go to the beach but we'll go to a park instead

This sentence is a little over-complicated because it has too many clauses. Break it into two sections and you can use a conjunction in the former part (the relationship between these two parts is strongest, so keep them in a single sentence):
Manaus is located in the heart of the Amazon rain forest and is the Amazon's state capital. To get there you must take either a boat or a plane.
